The Finger of Anár
The Finger of Anár is regarded as a wasteland, too rocky and destroyed to support any major population. Dominated as it is by the Shattered Mountains, There is little flat space for agriculture or husbandry. Luckily, the Duar are not hampered by such geographic concerns.
The Duar, Ursuar, and certain species of Kernuar have managed to occupy the Fingerlands, forming small communities or private manses.
- Mont of Exiles: The Mont of Exiles is a small, turbulent community populated by Duar who have been exiled from their home Monts and who have found no peace other than this community of like-minded folks. Dedicated to personal privacy and to the ideal of providing community for those who have none, the Mont of Exiles is nonetheless fractious and is ruled by a powerful warlord who brooks no insulence.
- The Promontory: The Promontory is a resclusive, private dwelling created by mages of all ilk and is a sanctuary that is not aligned with any of the specific orders of magery. As such, it is a place of free ideals, intellectual exchange, and some dangerous mystical research. The Promontory is reclusive to the extreme and is protected with a wide array of mystical deterrents. The ability to find and enter the Promontory through all of these challenges is usually proof enough that one belongs there.
- The Isle of Horns: The Isle of Horns has been claimed by the Kernuar as a sacred place, a land pristine and in balance with itself and its inhabitants. No other races are are allowed on its shores and these are zealously guarded by powerful Eláhuar guadians.
- Guardian Cove: Guardian Cove is the seat of the Eláhuar presence on the isle and thus, the center of culture there. Staffed at all times by Kernuar followers of Rheanna and Rheor. While this habitation was founded by the Eláhuar, all species of Kernuar make their home here. The Kernuar race regards Guardian Cove as a sanctuary, a place for contemplation on the mysteries of Rheanna and Rheor away from the hectic interaction with the politics between civilizations. Needless to say, the sanctity of the location is guarded with a certain brutality and no one bucks the will of the Eláhuar.
- Council of Erû: As a species, The Ôvuar maintain a distance from the interations of the Kernuar, especially as they intersect the affairs of other races. Their distance can superficially be seen as aloofness, but in reality the Ôvuar keep this distance as a means to maintain objectivity while they record the history of the Kenuar. The Isle of Horns is a sacred place, in part because it houses the Council of Erû, a collection of the wisest of the Ôvuar. The Eláhuar protect the council and moderate all petitioners who seek the wisdom of the council, but they are accessible if the need is great enough.
